VP Human Resources


Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to join our growing team. We are a Federally Qualified Health Center located in Collier County on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Florida, and have been providing primary care to underserved patients for 40 years. We provide comprehensive, integrated primary care to more than 50,000 patients at 22 clinic sites throughout the county with more than 75 practitioners. Services include pediatrics, family and internal medicine, an HIV/AIDS treatment program, geriatrics, women's care, dental, and integrated behavioral health. We are accredited by the Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Care (AAAHC) and are certified by AAAHC as a medical and dental home.

The VP of Human Resources is a key senior leader, responsible for developing and executing strategic goals in support of the overall strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation. The VP of Human Resources provides strategic direction and anticipatory guidance to the senior team regarding policies, practices and trends, and vulnerabilities within the healthcare industry. We are in search of a servant leader who has 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience in leading change, processes, and people.

Responsibilities and Standards

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's human resource functions and performance; overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training and leadership development, compensation and benefits.
  • Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business objectives, mission and vision.
  • Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive management of each department regarding key organizational and management issues, and trends within the field.
  • Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals and minimize disruption in services to patients.
  • In coordination with senior leaders and executive management group, develops and implement comprehensive compensation and benefit plans that are competitive and cost effective for HCN.
  • Continually assess the competitiveness of all programs and practices against the relevant comparable companies, industries, and markets.
  • Manage the budget and other financial measures of the Human Resource Department.
  • Highly skilled at presentations and engaging various stakeholder groups (staff, board, executives, community members)


Education/Training Level:

  • Master's Degree in HR or closely related field, and 8-10+ years of progressively responsible experience

Licenses and Certifications:

  • PHR or SPHR preferred

Communication Skills:

  • Superior interpersonal communication and presentation skills allowing for successful interaction with boards and senior executives

Technology Skills:

  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Payroll and HRIS systems.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
