This position will support clean room assembly & packaging, boxing & labeling and Kitting operations at the Arthrex manufacturing facility in Ave Maria, FL.
Main Objective:
The Production Manager is responsible for managing final device assembly and packaging operations including Prepackaging, Labeling, Cleanroom Assembly & Sterile Packaging, and Boxing/Sterile Load Prep.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages daily throughput of finished device production by controlling resources (machines, personnel, and exceptions) to ensure efficient productivity, work quality, and documentation (DHR) completeness and accuracy.
Conducts periodic review and recommends changes and improvement plans to materials, equipment, and manpower resource requirements to increase plant capacity. Analyzes and resolves production efficiency problems.
Accountable for managing, meeting, and reporting Key Performance Indicators (metrics) on production operations and developing continuous improvement plans accordingly.
Completes quarterly and annual capacity/staffing analysis for upper management.
Coordinates production activities with other functional groups such as Component Manufacturing, Materials, Quality Control, Change Management, Planning, Engineering, and Sterilization to ensure on time delivery.
Reviews master production schedule to ensure demand requirements are in line with available capacities and makes recommendations for schedule changes that optimize equipment, personnel, materials, and time.
Confers with Engineering in relation to non-compliances, product packaging configurations, assembly design issues, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining acceptable quality levels for all assigned products including scrap reduction, failure investigation, disposition of nonconformances, and root cause correction as necessary.
Enforces use of Lean techniques to ensure the most cost effective manufacturing process is being utilized and materials are always available.
Drafts and maintains departmental procedures setting best practices.
Manages supervisors across all shifts.
Interprets and enforces company policies and practices.
Assists supervisors in completing performance appraisals, prepares rate increase and/or promotional recommendations.
Performs periodic performance feedback, formal performance reviews and handles disciplinary actions.
Monitors personnel training & ensures documentation of required training activities is completed.
Responsible for improving the transfer of components from upstream processes including Molding, Laser Marking, Passivation, and Final Clean,
Manages and tracks the receipt, staging, lot/quantity control, lot traceability, and issuance of materials.
Supports Arthrex's Continuous Improvement Program.
Implements Corporate and Safety initiatives.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years production management required.
Experience in a high volume medical device manufacturing environment is preferred.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing methods and Kanban systems required. Six Sigma training desired.
Experience with SAP (or equivalent) desired.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Ability to read and understand Bills of Material (BOMs), Routers, Work Instructions in written or graphical form.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from subordinates, peers, and upper management.
Strong strategic leadership and decision making skills needed.
Proficiency in production planning regarding manpower requirements.
Understanding of effective and efficient methods of storing and managing component inventory.
Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines & production demands in a complex and dynamic manufacturing environment.
Ability to analyze production data/reports to assess impact on throughput, efficiencies, and other KPIs.
Working knowledge of the CAPA process.
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/Visual Management.
Strong conflict management and problem solving skills.
Able to manage diversity.
The ability to build teamwork and maintain excellent communication across all shifts and with other areas of the factory is required.
Proficient in Microsoft computer applications and ERP systems.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook)
MES/ERP System (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to comprehend and

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
