The successful candidate will be the gatekeeper for food safety and quality for the Hendersonville, location and will report directly to General Manager with oversight from Enterprise Food Safety Manager and Director.
This candidate will have the ability to collaborate with multiple stake holders and thrive in a fast pace business environment.
The ideal candidate must be dynamic and have the ability to influence the organization to continue to excel in a food safety culture.
The person must be able to learn quickly and manage priorities for the location.
Some Key
Responsibilities:
Lead by example when it comes to FSQA and empower others department managers to lead with FSQA mindset Monitor QA's and Leads Manage internal and external food safety audits and collaborate with other departments to implement corrective actions Provide leadership and training to supervisors to complete and monitor key process control measures and step in as needed to support team members Lead employee training/retraining programs:
footwear training, GMP training, all New Employee training, Glass and brittle plastic training, Foreign Materials training, etc.
Conduct weekly meetings Maintain Sponges/Swabs list, translating, monitoring, raw/finished product sampling, corrective action plans, record lab results, etc.
Supervise and support sanitation manager and team Lead investigations to determine root causes for customer complaints/ environmental positives and close out corrective actions Manage traceability documentation and mock recalls/trace-back for both products and packaging Share best practices and lessons learned during national FSQA conference calls Be the advocate for FSQA and sanitation team members Experience and Skills Required:
Good verbal and written communications skills Hardworking, dependable, safety conscious Bilingual English/Spanish preferred 5
years industry experience in food safety/quality preferred Understanding of preventive controls and hazard analysis PCQI certification preferred Familiar with GFSI standard Crisis Management training Microbiological Monitoring Program trained Food Defense Awareness Preventative Control for Human Food and Hygienic/Sanitary Design training Knowledge of product specs/packaging specs, QAP, KPI's Fresh produce experience preferred Bachelor's degree in biology, food science, chemistry, or other related sciences is preferred however, we will consider candidates with relevant industry experience Job Type:
